Sharokh Kapadia, OD, FAAO

Sharokh Kapadia, OD, FAAO

Originally from Ontario, Canada, Dr. Sharokh Kapadia received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Brock University. He graduated with honors from the Michigan College of Optometry in 1998, where he studied with a special concentration in contact lenses. Dr. Kapadia then completed a one-year residency in ocular disease at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida.

Dr. Kapadia remains active in his field, constantly looking for ways to stay on top of the latest technologies and trends. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and member of the American Optometric Association, as well as the Florida Optometric Association. Committed to his local community, Dr. Kapadia is an active member of the St. Augustine Chamber of Commerce. He warmly welcomes all new patients and looks forward to providing an eye care experience that is like none other!

Dr. Diane Kapadia served as President of Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH) in 1998. This organization works to improve sight to millions of people in developing nations.

She graduated with honors from the Michigan College of Optometry in 1999. That very year, she received the Wessley-Jessen award for 'Outstanding Work in Contact Lenses'.

Dr. Diane Kapadia is an active part of the optometry community, serving as a member of both the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association. She looks forward to providing exceptional eye care to you and your family!

Nataliya Yakovleva, OD

Nataliya Yakovleva, OD

Meet our newest Doctor! Dr. Nataliya Yakovleva is originally from Russia and she received her Bachelors of Education before moving to the USA in 2001. She decided to pursue a career in the profession of eye care in 2009. She then, earned a Doctor of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in 2016, notably one of the highest rated schools for her practice. She also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Vision Science. As part of her studies, Dr. Yakovleva completed externships in Ocular Disease and Medical Refractive. She also received extensive training in Pediatrics and Specialty Contact Lens fitting.

Dr. Yakovleva is a dedicated and caring eye physician who provides all types of eye care services for patients of all age groups. She is also an active member in the Florida Optometric Association. We are happy to have her as the newest addition to our practice.

Long Tran OD, FAAO

Dr. Long D. Tran has over 13 years of experience and graduated from the State University of New York, State College of Optometry in 2003. He then went on to complete his residency as a post-graduate at the Southern California College (SCC) of Optometry in Cornea and Contact Lenses. He was faculty member of SCC as an Assistant Professor. It was here that gained much knowledge and experience through his clinical and lecturing responsibilities. He responsibilities including working with refractive surgeries, corneal diseases, and contact lenses.
Dr. Long Tran works with the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (the testing body for optometrists). He works on the board as a subject matter expert (SME). He also is an author to many articles regarding corneal disease and contact lenses. He speaks at national and international events on these topics as well sharing and teaching others what he knows.

We believe in the work that Dr. Tran does and value him as a member of SJEA. Over his career he has helped thousands of patients have their vision restored! Patients suffering from pellucid marginal degeneration, keratoconus, and other corneal irregularities have all had their vision restored by the work of Dr. Tran. Patients with reduced vision can trust him and look forward to receiving the best of care under Dr. Tran at SJEA.
