We understand the urgency of an eye care emergency. Ponte Vedra patients may experience the following conditions that require prompt care:

EYE TRAUMA

Getting hit in the eye is a serious matter. You may be experiencing eye pain, redness, or blurred vision. Although you may not feel as though your injury is serious, you may be wrong. Your eye may simply be scratched or inflamed. However, a more serious problem, such as a detached retina, may be lurking beneath the surface. Our emergency optometrist in Ponte Vedra can quickly diagnose any eye injury and get you on the road to relief.

FOREIGN OBJECT

If a foreign object becomes lodged in your eye, do not try to remove it. Immediately contact our emergency eye center in Ponte Vedra to receive medical attention immediately.

CUT OR TORN EYELID

If your eyelid is cut, carefully wash the eye. Apply a thick layer of antibiotic ointment on the eyelid to reduce the risk of infection. If possible, place a patch or covering over the eye. Contact our Ponte Vedra emergency optometrist for immediate care and treatment.
